U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Acting Administrator Andrew Wheeler faced members of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee at a hearing on Aug. 1 regarding EPA鈥檚 agenda. Of particular interest to 黑料不打烊 members, Sen. John Boozman (R-Ark.) questioned Wheeler on whether he would move forward on a June 27 memo from then-Administrator Pruitt that sought to reorient 鈥渢he agency鈥檚 approach to when and how it would veto Clean Water Act Section 404 permits issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.鈥 Wheeler acknowledged the uncertainty that EPA鈥檚 veto authority introduces to infrastructure projects and indicated the agency would be 鈥渓ooking into it.鈥
