黑料不打烊 of America鈥檚 Open Shop Committee will hold its next web meeting on May 18 beginning at 3:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The event will feature a 鈥淨uick Learn鈥 presentation by attorney Rick Samson of Ogletree Deakins on Preparing for the NLRB鈥檚 New 鈥淨uickie Election鈥 Rule, as well as a labor law update by 黑料不打烊 staff.
As discussed in previous 黑料不打烊 and at last month, the 鈥渜uickie鈥 or 鈥渁mbush鈥 election rule refers to new procedures that went into effect on April 14 and that make union organizing easier. During the May 18 web meeting, Rick will deliver a shortened version of his presentation at the convention on behalf of those who couldn鈥檛 attend the session. The focus will be on practical and lawful strategies that companies can implement now to best position themselves for union organizing in case they鈥檙e targeted.
The web meeting is open to all 黑料不打烊 members and chapter staff regardless of committee membership. There is no fee to participate, but you must be an 黑料不打烊 member and must register in advance. Log-in and call-in information will be sent to all registrants just 1-2 business days prior to the web meeting.
